I was honored to be asked to speak at the first Indie DevStock last September, and I'm really happy I'm finally able to share the talk I gave there.

While my talk does touch on some great lessons I learned from re-launching Slopes, it focuses on something I find much more important: the fact it is still very possible to make a living as a independent developer on Apple's platforms.

But what it takes to be a successful indie looks a lot different than it was 10 years ago. The old formulas don't work as well. This is an entirely new market we're still just starting to figure out, after all. Your old assumptions of how things should work will sink you.
